In the 9th year of Shouwa (1934) suddenly a modern building appeared on the Honmachi-street. Even the newspapers wrote about it in excitement, “A modern construction of the Clock Shop of Fusei Family”, which was dealing with quality brand products.
The building is a two storey wooden structure, but the facade is cast stone with scrubbed finish, a novelty at the time. Later they used mortar for repairs.
A round hole is visible on the upper part of the front wall, which is said to have had a clock installed in it.

⑫旧布施時計店
昭和９年（1934）、本町通りの古い街並みに突如としてモダンな建物が出現した。当時の新聞も「布施時計店モダン新築」として、高級ブランド店の出店を興奮気味に伝えている。建物は木造二階建、外壁は当初洗出し擬石であったが、後にリシンモルタル仕上げで補修されている。時計がはめ込められていたという円形の窓が時計店の面影を残している。
