Witness the ancient tradition of Yabusame at Washibara Hachimangu Shrine in Tsuwano!

This spectacular Samurai ritual be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Against the backdrop of the shrine’s Muromachi period buildings (16th century), skilled archers from the Ogasawara school, continuing a tradition of over 830 years, will perform this dynamic ritual on Japan’s oldest existing horseback archery riding grounds.

    Morning Session: Approx. 10:30 AM (Morning session includes a ritual inside the shrine)
    Afternoon Session: Approx. 1:30 PM
  • Access: Free shuttle bus service from JR Tsuwano Station (Check the Tsuwano Tourism Association website for details)
  • Parking: Available at Roadside Station & Hot Springs Facility “Tsuwano Onsen Nagomi no Sato” and Taikodani Inari Shrine (lower area)
